Around this time I had seen a few programs and articles on global warming and the plight of several iconic animals – not unusual these days as such stories are everywhere now and gaining momentum.
This inspired me to do a few related paintings and Eruption is one of them. Possibly not directly linked to conservation nor global warming but I wanted to demonstrate that nature is a force unto itself and humans cannot hold that back. If the planet wants to shout it will do so regardless of what humans attempt to dictate and I hope this painting demonstrates the uncontrollable power of nature that we must respect.
